Every photo tells a story...
Before my grandpa passed, he asked me to restore this photo of his grandfather from 1903. He delivered bread to the Battlecreek Sanitarium Bakery in Battlecreek, Michigan.
My grandpa passed before it was completed and it fell to the wayside. I picked it back up last year and finished it, but left it sitting on my hard drive. It is finally seeing the light of day.
In all my years of photo restoration, this seemingly simple looking job proved to be one of the most difficult because of all the photo artifacts, very little details, and odd textures. The crack in the photo went right through the subjects, leaching chemical stains over the years. I made the decision to keep the coloring of the final image as close to the original as possible.
